Yet to be seen
YET TO BE SEEN is a succinct experimental film delving into the theme of determination.
Injecting a queer perspective, the film unveils a landscape of diverse time signatures that both guide and deconstruct the art of dancing.
Through the interplay of mirrors, shadows, plastic horses, and leather, the human form becomes a canvas, intricately weaving rhythms from the renaissance, to late capitalism, exploring the nuanced relationship between a dancer and the relentless cycle of repetition.
As embodied techniques intersect with notions of masculinity, they evolve into metaphors for time, revealing a temporality that exists in the realm of anticipation, as articulated by José Esteban Muñoz as the “not yet here” of queer.
