
Andrew Champlin’s artistic practice spans the inter-connected fields of art and education, performance and visual art. His dance work is an expression of diverse historical and contemporary techniques, from classical ballet to somatic sensing, in particular, George Balanchine Technique™, Susan Klein technique™, and postural yoga. His experience as a choreographic assistant and teaching assistant to major artists and educators in the field of dance, visual art, and choreography, allow him to communicate between areas of expertise, roles, and social groups fluidly. His capacity as a performer has earned him international assignments and a New York Dance and Performance Bessie Award for Outstanding Performer nomination.
